Tonight was the Youth Celebration for the Oquirrh Mountain Temple and both Kayci and Jake had the privelege to perform. It was AWESOME!!!
After the performance, President Monson shook a few hands of the participants and HE SHOOK KAYCI'S HAND!!! She also got to shake President Eyring's hand and she giggled for an hour!
Jake got to be the Top of the Mountain guy and this is him watching President Monson at the end. The Spirit was so strong during the entire night... it was wonderful.
This was the finale and some of the participants. There were over 7,000 youth... WOW!
The stage was done beautifully. It started out as a regular mountain and then then became a temple at the end. There was a dance where they had a train and one with a couple of vintage cars. The dancing was amazing and they all did a great job.
What a wonderful night with my kids. We talked all the way home about how we feel when the Spirit has touched our hearts. We talked about our testimonies and being valiant in these difficult times. These are wonderful moments in the lives of my children and as President Monson said, these are the "June roses in their December bouquets." What a blessing this gospel is to us.
